Informatics

Informatics imageInformatics requires algorithms developed by Image Processing and Segmentation, Deformation Morphometry and Registration, and Atlasing projects and at the same time provides the computational framework for integration of tools across projects. The research and development efforts of the Informatics Project are focused on extendable and flexible database management, a graphical brain-data computing environment and a multidimensional immersive visualization framework.

The scope of the Informatics Project is divided into three components: data management, processing workflow and visualization. These three sub-projects reflect the common flow of neuroimaging data from acquisition to analysis and interpretation. The techniques and resources developed in this project facilitate the simple and effective dissemination of data, models, processing algorithms, visualization schemes, and results to the scientific community. They enable our collaborators to perform high throughput data analysis and ensure accuracy, consistency and reproducibility in their brain mapping studies.
