LONIR Resources

Education

Education image The LONI Resource provides regular seminars, workshops and courses on advanced information technology. Building upon a mature and established Training Program in Neuroimaging, we have designed our workshops and courses to include training on the multidimensional modeling that is the focus of this Resource.

National & International Workshops

The National and International Workshops provide a forum in which all the laboratories can engage in organized informed discussion of ethical issues in research, methods of communication within laboratories and departments, and techniques for preventing problems and resolving them constructively as they arise. The workshops are held annually.

Local Workshops

The LONI Resource and IPAM present a two-week intensive workshop focusing on mathematical techniques that can be applied to brain images to measure, map and model brain structure and function.

Courses

The LONI Resource has developed a series interdisciplinary training programs at UCLA which can be attended by local students, as well as a variety of courses and seminars, on related topics.

Training

A formal training program in neuroimaging, rotations in various research areas, and a visiting professor series are among the training opportunities available through the LONI Resource.

Instructional Web

The LONI Resource has been heavily involved in the development of electronic training tools using web interfaces for medical students and other trainees.
