Just this morning, we also found out that our Freesurfer 4 license file is corrupt, so we're trying to get that redistributed to the cluster ASAP. Until then you will get errors when attempting to run any workflows that make use of Freesurfer 4 programs. We should have this fixed shortly, and apologize for any inconvenience.
]]>The server and personal library panes also display data modules in their own 'Data' category instead of lumping them together with the regular modules.
This morning, some of you may have noticed that all jobs were failing on the the two Pipeline servers. Unfortunately, our filesystem reached full capacity sometime during the night, but we're working to clear off as much old data as possible, and we'll be bringing the servers back up as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your patience.
]]>For version 4.1, we've shifted our priorities from data model changes to supporting multiple servers (and local computers) all in one workflow. This will allow you to mix programs on completely different computers, and even execute programs on your desktop machine within a single workflow. Just as before, you won't have to worry about intermediate data between programs, and in this version you won't have to worry about moving intermediate data between computers either. More information will be posted later.
On the cluster front, we're continuing to move all our resources into a single Linux cluster. We currently have approximately 240 execution slots on our Linux cluster (cranium.loni.ucla.edu) and about 180 execution slots on our Solaris cluster (pipelinev4.loni.ucla.edu). As time and resources permit, we will be moving more of those execution slots to the Linux cluster.
We've also been hard at work updating the module definitions on our Linux cluster. Many of the definitions have more accurate citations, parameter listings, descriptions and executable version numbers. FSL 3.3 has been removed, and we've added FSL 4.0 definitions in it's place (workflows referencing FSL 3.3 will still continue to function, but you won't be able to create new workflows from FSL 3.3 definitions). We're still ironing out all the bugs in the library, but things have improved a lot lately.

]]>Also, we've opened up the cranium.loni.ucla.edu cluster for wider usage. It will still have some hiccups for the next week or so, but we'll have those ironed out soon. Connect to the server through your LONI Pipeline client and browse the server library we've placed on it. Any feedback on this would be wonderful.

On the topic of clusters, we will be making our new Linux cluster available to everyone as soon as possible. We're working on creating all the module definitions and a little more stress testing of our setup. It should be up by Monday the 24th at the latest. Check back here for more information.
